This week I am working on making another memory quilt made from kids t-shirts and PJs. I've already cut all the shirts apart, cut the correct size blocks, and laid them out. Now it's time to SEW!
I made these custom cage liners for a customer who wanted to use these reusable cage liners for her guinea pigs cage instead of wood shavings in the cage. These cage liners are made from 2 layers of fleece material with an absorbent layer in between. They can be washed in the wash machine and used over and over again. They also add a fun design and colour to your pets cage. Looking through my closet I noticed a few sweaters way in the back that I don't wear anymore. So I thought instead of throwing them out, I would do something to them so that I would wear them again. On the red sweater I made a heart stencil and then painted on a heart with white fabric paint. On the navy blue sweater the neck line was too tight, so I cut it looser and sewed on some ribbing to finish the edge. Then I added some different size studs in a pattern on the sleeve to add some detail. Try this to your old clothes in the back of your closet! Give them a new life and update your wardrobe! Leave a comment letting me know what you did to renew your old clothes! Today I worked on making custom insulin pump cases. They are for a little boy who has diabetes and wanted a different case to carry his pump around in other then the plain black one. So I made a bunch with all different fabrics. They securely close with Velcro and have a loop on the back to slip on to a belt. Last week I was working on making a custom prom dress. The dress is made out of the girls mothers bridesmaid dress that was hanging in the back of her closet that was out of date and was never going to be worn ever again. So she brought it to me and I re-designed it in to her prom dress. I added some new chiffon fabric over top of the old fabric to freshen it up and added a touch of lace to style and fit the dress the way the girl wanted. Unfortunately I didn't get a before picture of what the dress looked like but I will definitely get an after picture. Here's a sneak peek at what the dress looks like but I can't show you a full picture of what the dress looks like until after prom as the dress needs to be a surprise, so keep a eye out on my creations page to see what the final dress looked like! What an awesome way to get a unique and one of a kind prom dress. And no need to worry that someone else is going to show up wearing the same dress as you!
This week I am working on making a new line of iPad cases! Keep an eye out next week for new iPad cases for sale under the "Purchase Creations" tab!
